Swagbucks beat out the likes of Groupon and LivingSocial to be crowned the most loved deal site on social media in 2011. A swaggering 99% of opinions on the rewards site were positive in 2011, making it far more popular than its closest rival for the prize HauteLook. Social media users raved about the giftcards they received from racking up swagbucks.

Deal sites in general emerged from 2011 covered in glory and gaining popularity and vocal support from social media users. 76% of opinions on the major deal sites were positive on Twitter and Facebook in 2011, with only complaints about Groupon spoiling the party.

Groupon was the least loved of all the deal sites, although even the deal giant had a 76% approval rating. Groupon’s performance on social media ebbed and flowed throughout the year, hitting a low of 62% in June when speculation about the firm’s proposed IPO unleashed a flurry of negative comment on social media.
